About this clinic
WIC (Women-Infants-Children) is a supplemental food program, which supplies nutritious foods to pregnant/postpartum/breast-feeding women, and infants/children less than five (5) years of age. WICs goals are to improve the outcome of high-risk pregnancies; decrease the incidence of anemia and poor growth patterns; to improve dietary habits of it’s recipients through healthy foods and nutrition education; and to refer to other health services as appropriate. WIC services are available at all ten county health centers. Eligibility is assessed on the basis of income, the number in the household and medical and/or nutritional risk factors.
